A number of our members have layouts that they exhibit:
Aldermouth
Aldermouth (O) James Edwards
A totally fictitious layout portraying a GWR branch line terminus in the 1930s. The station is also served by the Southern Railway so a mix of locos are seen. Stock is a mix of RTR and kit built. A canal runs along the whole front of the layout.
Egdean is a village near Littleworth in Sussex but never had a railway. This fictitious line was built by SR for the parcels depot. The railway used the line to experiment with 3rd rail electrification. The small station has a goods yard for deliveries. It is operated by DCC with sound.
Selborne (009) Julian Evison
Selborne is a 009 layout built by Julian Evison. It represents an imaginary narrow gauge railway to the real village of Selborne, a prosperous village of about 1200 people situated on the Hamp
shire Downs.
The station at East Tisted on the new L&SWR Meon Valley line was about 3 miles away and was due to open in 1903. This could be reached along a fairly level route, with the exception of the first half mile which would have been a very steep climb up from the centre of Selborne.
The Tisted and Selborne Light Railway opened in 1903 with an extension to Liss in 1908. It prospered initially, but badly misjudged its prospects after the First World War, buying more stock, when takings were declining. The line finally closed in 1936.

Kinlochlaggen (N) Mike Le Marie
The layout is based on a rural station somewhere in Scotland. The station has a passing loop and limited freight facilities.
The layout can be operated in the steam/green diesel era, the BR Blue era, Scotrail era or as a preserved line.

Dillmouth (O) Phil Harding
Dillmouth is a 1930’s inspired Great Western Branch Line Terminus in ‘O’ Gauge. Although a fictional coastal town, taking its name from Agatha Christie’s “Sleeping Murder”, it actually depicts the two real stations of Alcester and Abbotsbury. The line was originally intended to extend further but lack of money forced the line to end in a cutting. Set on a peninsula, trains have to come in and turn around frequently. Mamhead (O) Jim Edwards
The layout is set in the 1930s. Mamhead is a village south of Exeter that did not have a station. The fictitious GWR branch line terminus has a passenger service to Exeter and a mixed train service to Torquay. It has a small goods depot and coal yard. A branch line was built to a creamery up the line, but it has no run round so the milk trains come into Mamhead to turn round. The layout is DCC with sound. Click here for more details.
Tarley (TT) Paul Tarrant and Tim Casserley
This layout is being built in the clubroom by two members, though it is not a club layout. It is to the original TT standards of 3mm scale, not TT120. It depicts a branch terminus and is on two boards.
