Farnham and District MRC (F&DMRC) meets every Wednesday at our clubrooms in Wrecclesham, Farnham. We book the hall next to our club room from 2 pm to 9 pm to allow us to erect layouts, which are stored in a room under the club room.
We have around 60 members with a typical attendance on a Wednesday of 20 – 25. As well as lots of chat, regular running nights, working on layouts, and other modelling activities, we arrange a programme of demonstrations, presentations and other events of interest for our members. Over the years these have included members’ photographs of prototypes from several continents, plus a range of modelling demonstrations from building basic plastic kits, through soldering to airbrush painting, wiring and DCC.
We frequently set up one of our running tracks which we have for N, OO, P4, and O. The club has a good selection of tools that you can use or borrow, and if you want help we can find an expert in most areas.
New members are always welcome, especially if you want to get involved in our club layouts in N, OO, P4 or O gauge, or our 009 modular layout.
Our goal is to achieve a high standard of modelling and have fun!
Interested? Why not “test drive” us for a few evenings to see if you like us.
We also have open days for new members at least twice a year, and an annual exhibition.
But you need not wait until then. Why not call in one Wednesday, any time between 2 pm and 8 pm, at Wrecclesham Community Centre, Greenfield Road, Farnham, GU9 8TJ? Click here for a map.
